My Depressing Poetry

Can you tell I love you?

If you could only see though my eyes,
You would understand my love for you,
You would understand how much you mean to me.
You just don’t seem to understand,
Maybe if you were in my shoes,
You would understand my feeling for you.
If you would look beyond the outside,
You would see a beautiful heart,
That loves you very much.

No Pain
you see no mark upon my skin
you see no tear in my eye
you see no sign of pain
therefor I must not be in pain
I must not cry myself
to sleep at night
or wake up screaming
because of haunted dreams
I must not pull the blade
across my skin
and hope that one day
it drives in deeper
I must not fear the darkness
or shudder at the thought of silence
I must not hide myself from
life and prying eyes that
judge your worth as a person
upon the shine of your smile
you hear no gasp escape my mouth
you hear no horror tale from my past
you hear no words of pain
therefor I must not be in pain
I must not scream so loud it's silent

Sorry --
What if she died?
And at the funeral her parents told you,
"You could have saved her from herself."
How would that make you feel?
And that night you went home
Sat in your room alone
And killed yourself
Just to be with her again and tell her
"I'm sorry."
Friends --
Why do people try to help me?
Do they care?
I guess they do
But all I do is hurt them
Especially Sarah
She keeps trying to help me
But all I do is push her away
She's my best friend
Why can't I just let her help?
Emptiness --
What if I died right now?
How would you fell?
Sad, depressed, torn apart?
Or would you feel nothing,
But an empty place that

Another tear ran down her cheek as she looked him in the eye, she begged once more for him not to do it. His eyes were dark and cold, he says he's sorry and this is what has to be done. He says there is no other choice. Tears stream down her soft cheeks, she had given him her heart; she couldn't live without him. He loved and cared for her deeply, but he knew this had to be done. "Why are you doing this to me?" she pleads. He apologizes again and then says it's the only way.
He was selfish, pigheaded, uncaring. She was sweet and had shown him a side that no one else has ever seen; she was beautiful; she was perfect. He was far from worthy. A
